Badfish's adventure and fishing board gets new features and the Rivershred makes a splash at Demo Day

The BadFisher is getting a reboot for 2019. BadFish's five-year-old best-selling board has been updated with new features and a refined shape.

Badfish team member Mike Travares gave Paddle Magazine a tour of the model at Paddlesports Retailer 2018 in Oklahoma City, noting the new reinforced rail system, integrated water bottle holder, padded carrying handle and multiple tie-down points to make rigging a breeze. While the Badfisher has been a mainstay on the fishing scene for years, it's also increasingly perfect for multi-day self-support paddleboard trips, says Travares. The PVC drop-stitch construction is incredibly durable, meaning you can take the BadFisher anywhere. The BadFisher comes with a travel bag, three-piece travel paddle, leash, and double-action pump included. Dimensions: 11'6” x 36” x 6”.

Travares also showed off the Rivershred, his signature model. Attendees to PSR's outdoor Demo Day saw the Rivershred making a splash on the water at Oklahoma City's Riversport Adventure Park. This high performance all-around river runner is designed to charge hard, according to Travares.

Ample nose and tail rocker help easily punch through waves and surf. “It's overall profile sets you up for success,” he says. See it in action in the video below.

Dimensions: 9'6” x 36” x 6”. “The perfect size for river running,” adds Travares.
